Vitali
Derbeniev (BLR): “I was prepared for this first place. To tell the
truth I was a bit afraid of Turkey’s Akti, but, as on old Russian saying
goes, ‘he who is afraid, does not fight,’ whereas I fought an won. My
next goal is the Olympic Games in Athens, but before that we have the
World Championships in Vancouver.”
Adrian Jugau
(ROM): “Everything went well for me. I’m satisfied with my
performance and the medals I won and I now hope to do well in the
Olympic Games in Athens.”
Nayden Rusev
(CYP): “I’d like to dedicate my medal to the schoolchildren who died
in Sunday’s traffic accident, as well as to all of Greece and Cyprus.
I’ve only trained for two months with my coach, Dimitris Eliadis, and
although I’m satisfied with my result, I have higher goals for the
future.”
