(TUR): “We worked hard for four months to achieve these results and
break these records. I am absolutely satisfied and hope to achieve
similar distinctions in the Vancouver World Championships and the Athens
Olympics. We’re very good friends with Emine, on and off the platform.”
Emine Bilgin (TUR):
“I think we did well, but in the World Championships I will win
three gold medals and have a strong match against Aylin. Turkish
weightlifting has a strong present and future, as our president and our
coaches are always standing by us to help us.”
Michaela
Breeze (GBR): “For many years weightlifting in Britain was stagnant,
but recently we have done well in the junior and younger age-groups,
which means that in a 5 or 6 years some things might change. I’m not
just satisfied with my medals, but enthusiastic.”
